If you are a fan of culinary culture this Tour is made right for you. Join us on a route through the heart of London’s East End and savour pleasant dishes at different spots; every bite you taste will have an incredible story to tell you, because many of them have come to the present from an ancient past and a migrant root.
This is a unique gastronomic tour, where you decide how much you will eat and how much you will spend. There is no predetermined menu, no obligation to eat anything, everything will be according to your taste, choices and budget.
In addition to the possibility of tasting unique dishes, our guides will tell you fascinating stories about how the varied English gastronomy was shaped. You will be surprised by all the foreign contributions that make it a very peculiar cuisine.
You can taste, for example, what Time Out Magazine considers “London’s best Chips”, at the same time you listen to the story about the Irish who moved to London running away from famine and settled on the East End. Other examples are the Jewish salted beef bagel they brought in the XIX century; or try the samosa and a curry from Bangladesh, a country with a great impact in British gastronomy. For dessert we suggest you to try some good chocolate from West Africa and to finish the tour a healthy juice in a hipster bar, while you face and meditate about the gentrification phenomenon, a controversial reality in the East End.
In the city of London, multiple cultures converge. We are talking about a city in which more than 300 languages are spoken simultaneously. The same goes for London cuisine, which has been listed as one of the most cosmopolitan on the planet. Do you dare to discover it?
In this London Food Tour, you will also discover the peculiarities of the East London area, a post-industrial zone that became a top attraction for foodies from all over the world.
